I’m not here to bash ‘info products.’
That’s what I started out selling online, back in 2010.
By early 2015, I’d got my business turning over just under $250,000/year, and I thought I was doing pretty well. My goal was to, one day, get to a Million Dollars a year! Yeah, that sounded GREAT!
However…
When I teamed up with my now business partner, Elwin Robinson, to create a supplement to increase Testosterone and Male Sexual Performance, Elwin suggested we start off with 500 packets, and aim to sell them all, for $97 each, to my list of 20,000 men.
Do the maths…
That would require me to write emails that’d convince 2.5% of my list to buy a supplement. Something I’d never sold before. And, at a price that was ‘Top End’ in the Marketplace to say the least (many Testosterone Boosters are $30/month, not $97 like Rock Hard!)
Anyhow, Elwin didn’t convince me we’d sell 500 packets to my list, but I did agree to keep an open mind.
Here’s what happened:
500 Packets SOLD OUT; in 3 days. That’s nearly $50,000 (or over 20% of my yearly turnover at that point in time!)
We then immediately opened up a ‘Pre-Order’ - where we sold another $25,000 of product in a little over 24 hours. And, we only shut the Pre-Order down because our Merchant Account rang us up and said:
“Listen guys. We love the success you’re having. And we’re happy for you. But please, in future, only take money for products you have in stock!”
“YES,” really - our Merchant Account were that ‘cool.’ Thankfully!
Obviously we delivered ALL the Pre-Orders. Then we re-ordered and sold out another $50,000 of stock in November 2015 (to the same Goddam list). And, in December we did it AGAIN.
Add that up…
