10 Reasons Why Every Man Should Do Some Strength Training

Strength Training Will Make You a Better Man. Here’s why…

By Elliot Newman

Many guys have a gym membership. Lots of them read Bodybuilding Magazines and ‘Work Out’.

But, very few men engage in REAL Strength Training.

Here are 10 reasons why you must:

1. Strong is What a Man is Supposed to Be!

Men are supposed to be STRONG.

And, while there are many ways to get strong – including Farming, Lumberjacking and Manual Labour – nothing will get you as Strong as quickly as proper Strength Training will!

In 2 or 3 sessions a week – that need only last 30-45 minutes – you can build a very strong body. That’s not a huge time investment.

2. Strength Training will Boost Your Mental State

When you get on a roll in the gym, and you know you are getting STRONGER by the week – because your numbers are going UP – it is an awesome feeling.

It’s confidence inspiring.

3. It’ll Improve Your Athletic Performance

All other things being equal, the stronger athlete always wins. Period.

Especially in contact sports.

For proof, look into the story of UFC Fighter Matt Brown. He went to train at Westside Barbell – the strongest gym in the World – and then he went on the tear… winning fight after fight after fight (and inflicting some fairly horrendous injuries on his opponents in the process).

Bottom line?

Matt got STRONG. Matt couldn’t stop WINNING.

Look at a totally different sport – like Golf – and you’ll see the same thing. Most of the best Golfers in the World – like Tiger Woods, Rory Mcilroy, Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka are BIG HITTERS, and they all do strength training.

4. Strength Keeps You Young!

Strength is a sign of youth.

As you get older, your strength levels will decline, unless you do something about it. You don’t want to be old and WEAK, do you?

Nope. Didn’t think so.

So, you better start doing some strength training!

5. Strength Training Increases Your Testosterone Levels…

And, you know what Testosterone gives you, right?

Higher libido, harder erections, increased confidence, more energy, and so on.

6. Strength Training Gives You a Better Body

I have no time for Bodybuilding.

All it does it create a highly narcissistic personality. And, individuals who are never truly happy with the way they look.

Plus… you can build a great physique through Strength Training. Just look at the old time strongmen from the first half of the 20th Century (before Steroids).

Most of them had great physiques, but they didn’t train in front of mirrors. They didn’t use machines, and they certainly didn’t worry about how they looked!

They just got STRONG and ATE WELL. And that was enough to get them in incredible shape.

7. Strength Training Makes You a Better Lover…

I remember a female friend of mine once complaining to me about her borefriend. She said he was weak and pathetic in the bedroom, unable to ‘lift her up’ or ‘throw her about’ (her words, not mine).

Honestly, what self-respecting man can’t lift his woman up and show her a good time in the bedroom?

If you lack the strength to lift your woman over your shoulder, carry her up the stairs and throw her down on the bed – you better start doing some STRENGTH TRAINING (before she trades you in for a STRONGER model!)

8. It Protects the Lower Back

80-90% of men get back pain at least once in their lives. And, for many men, back pain is a way of life!

Do you know which muscles protect the lower back?

There are 3:

  • Your mid-section/abs/core… whatever you want to call it. It needs to be STRONG
  • Your gluts/backside/ass… needs to be STRONG
  • Your lats (the muscles under your armpits)

When these 3 muscle groups are strong, they protect your lower back.

How do you make them strong?

With Strength Training:

  • Squats and Deadlifts will make your Gluts stronger. As will things like Lunges, Glute Ham Raises, Reverse Hypers and Back Extensions
  • Pull Ups and Rows will strengthen your Lats
  • The abs can be strengthened using many exercises. Some of my favorites include Side Bends, The Ab Wheel and Hanging Leg Raises

9. Strength Training Helps You Lose Body-Fat

When you do hard, heavy strength training, your body uses up more oxygen (and calories) for a full 48 hours AFTER the workout. This effect is called EPOC and you can read more about it here.

This means that strength training not only makes you STRONGER, it can make you LEANER too! Making boring, pathetic exercises like jogging on a treadmill and pedaling a stationary bike, redundant.

10. Strength Training makes You More Attractive

Women like strong, dominant men.

Any man who is strong, appears like the kind of man who can TAKE CONTROL and LEAD a woman.

For that reason, women are attracted to STRONG men.

Example Strength Training Program:

There are many ways to get strong.

Here’s a fool-proof program that really can’t fail – so long as you eat well, and get plenty of rest between workouts:

Day 1:

A1. Military Press 3-5 reps x 5-10 sets
A2. Close Grip Chin Ups 3-5 reps x 5-10 sets
B. Deadlifts 3-5 reps x 3-5 sets

Day 2:

A1. Bench Press 3-5 reps x 5-10 sets
A2. One Arm DB Rows 3-5 reps x 5-10 sets
D. Front Squats 3-5 reps x 3-5 sets

Here’s how it works:

  • Train on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
  • Alternate ‘Day 1’ and ‘Day 2’ workouts
  • Pick a weight that is challenging, but still allows you to get 3 reps x 5 sets in session 1. Add a set each workout, until you’re up to 3 reps x 10 sets. Then start over with 4 reps x 5 sets. Once you build up to 5 reps x 10 sets, start over with a new weight, OR begin a new program
  • Alternate sets of A1 and A2, resting 90 to 120 seconds between sets
  • For Deadlifts and Front Squats, the progressions is 3 reps x 3 sets, to 3 reps x 5 sets. Then start over with 4 reps x 3 sets. Finish with 5 x 5, then increase the weight, OR begin a new program
  • Rest 120 to 180 seconds between sets of exercise ‘B’

If you want to do ‘more’ activity, go for a walk on your days off.

Simple.

All you gotta do is put the work in, eat well and rest enough and you’ll get STRONGER, and build MUSCLE on that program.

Oh, and if you really want to boost your results – be sure to take Rock Hard Formula each day as well. Because, Rock Hard Formula will increase your Testosterone Levels (which will let you train harder and make faster strength gains).

Nice.
