How to Increase Your Energy and Motivation in 10 Simple Steps

If You’d Like to Have More Energy, and Feel More Motivated, Passionate and Enthusiastic, Here’s What You Need to Do…

By Elliot Newman

If you want to achieve your True Potential, live life to the MAX, and generally be as happy as you can be… you need to have HIGH ENERGY.

Unfortunately, most men these days do not have high energy. Causing them to use things like Caffeine, Coffee, Soda and Refined Sugar to get through the days. None of which are even remotely healthy.

With those thoughts in mind…

Here are 10 Simple Ways to Boost Your Energy and Feel More Motivated on a Daily Basis…

In no particular order…

#1: Find Your True Passion and Spend Time on It Daily!

If you have something that you are truly PASSIONATE about, and you spend time on it each and every day, you’ll find your Energy and Motivation are much higher.

Think about it…

There’s a reason why people struggle to get out of bed in the morning when they hit ‘rock bottom’ – because, at that moment in time, they literally have nothing to live for.

In contrast, when you wake up each day knowing you’re going to be doing something you LOVE and truly ENJOY – as opposed to having to get up just to ‘pay the bills’ – you have a level of Energy and Motivation the average person cannot relate to.

Find your true passion. It’ll be the best thing you ever did.

#2: Drink More Water

Being even a little dehydrated can lead to a huge loss of ENERGY and PERFORMANCE – leaving you tried, lethargic and anything but motivated.

The easy way to solve this problem is to drink less coffee and soda (both are dehydrating because of the caffeine and sugar), and drink more water.

Drinking more water is one of those things many people know they should be doing it. The secret is to actually DO IT!

Remember:

Knowledge is only POWER when you act upon it!

#3: Be Sure to Consume Plenty of Healthy Salt

Salt is essential for your health.

Sure, table salt (refined salt), the salt found in processed food, is very BAD for you.

But real salt – like Himalayan Salt or Celtic Sea Salt – is amazingly good for you. Try adding real salt to your water… because it’ll actually help you get even more hydrated.

And, of course, real salt makes your food taste so much better.

#4: Eat a Healthy Diet

Try eating fast food 3x a day, other processed crap the rest of the time, and washing it all down with endless cans of soda and ‘energy drinks’. That’s how many people live. And, it’s a fast-track to weight gain, obesity, diabetes, heart disease and very LOW energy.

If you want HIGH Energy, and more passion and motivation, do the opposite:

Eat a natural, unprocessed mostly organic diet. Including lots of fruits, veggies and healthy fats.

Again, it’s not exactly Rocket Science, and many people know they should be doing it. But, most people don’t do it and that’s why America (and the West in general) is getting FATTER and SICKER than ever.

Still, at least it keeps Doctors and Big Pharma rich, eh?

#5: Consume More Greens

If I could give you just one food that’d increase your Energy perhaps more than any other, it’d be greens…

Lettuce, Spinach, Kale and so on.

You see, these foods and highly alkalizing, and most people have acidified their body’s way too much (with all the processed foods, refined sugar, trans fats, caffeine and so on).

When you ‘go green’ and get more alkaline you improve your health and your energy goes up.

You can juice your greens. You can add ‘em to smoothies. You can use them as the base for incredible salads.

Just make sure you get a few handfuls in your system each day. And your energy levels with thank you!

#6: Fix Any Broken Relationships

Is there anything more energy-sapping than a BROKEN relationship?

I’m struggling to think of anything.

Whether it’s a boss who’s a bully… a partner who doesn’t support you… or a ‘friend’ who never has anything good to say to you…

You gotta FIX, or END, those ugly, broken relationships.

And, when you do that, you’ll feel like the weight of the world has lifted from your shoulders, giving you more ENERGY, and MOTIVATION, in an instant.

#7: Lower Your Stress Levels

Less stress leads to lower Cortisol. And, when Cortisol goes DOWN, Testosterone goes UP!

One way to lower your stress levels is to fix those broken relationships!

Here are some more stress-busting ideas, that’ll give you more energy:

  • Taking leisurely walks
  • Listening to relaxing music
  • Sleeping well
  • Getting a massage
  • Working on your passion! (See point 1 on this list)
  • Going on vacation

#8: Exercise Daily

It’s kind of strange to think that exercise can give you more ENERGY – but it really can. Provided, of course, that you don’t push it too hard.

I recommend exercising every day… some days just gentle walking. Other days hitting the weights. Other days doing whatever activity or sport you enjoy best.

Personally I like to do strength training 3-5 times a week, go for a 20 minute walk most days, and practice or play golf a few times a week as well.

Your ‘exercise schedule’ might look different to mine, and that’s just fine. The important thing is to get active.

These days, people think they’re being active if they take the stairs instead of the elevator!

But people, especially MEN, should do more than that. We’re supposed to be FIT and STRONG. Doing some meaningful exercise is the best way to get yourself to that place!

#9: Develop a Healthy Sleep Routine

If you want to maximize your energy levels, you have to sleep well.

Most people need 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep a night in order to feel their best. But, very few people get it.

Here’s a routine that’ll help you optimize your sleep:

  • Get the best mattress you can afford
  • Put blackout blinds on your bedroom window so you can sleep in total darkness
  • Ensure your bedroom is cool
  • Eat your last meal 3-4 hours before bed
  • Take a relaxing bath/shower within 20-30 minutes of bed
  • Meditate for 5-10 minutes before sleep

#10: Set Realistic, Yet Challenging Goals

Many people drift through lift, without every really setting any goals.

Goals MOTIVATE you. And, motivation ‘fires you up’ – it gives you energy.

So, if you want to feel more ENERGY and increased motivation, it’d make sense to set some goals!

Your goals should be realistic, yet challenging.

Because, if you goals are too EASY or HARD, they’ll demotivate you.

I recommend having some work/career/income/business/investment/wealth goals.

Some physique/health goals.

And, some relationship goals too.

And, when you achieve one goal, be sure to set another, in order to keep yourself motivated and hungry to live every day as well as you can… to live up to your True Potential!
