In no particular order, here are 5 simple ways to lower your stress levels:

1. Meditate

Even 5-10 minutes a day, using a guided meditation, can work wonders, lowering your stress levels dramatically. If I were you I’d go to iTunes or YouTube and just search ‘Guided Meditation’. You’ll find A TON of results. Here are some of my favorites

2. Talk a Walk

Walking is a great way to lower your stress levels. It doesn’t even have to be a long walk either. 2 or 3 short – 10 minute – walks through the day is great. And the benefits are huge.

Just remember to look straight ahead, and let your arms swing naturally as you stride. This way you get some great postural benefits from walking (something I’ll talk more to you about in the next day or two). 3. Stop Doing that Job you Hate!

I realize this can be easier said than done. But, it blows my mind how many people spend 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, doing something they can’t stand. Often for 40 or 50 years!!!

I used to be in this position myself, and it led me to a bleeding stomach ulcer! So, I know all about the stressful effects of a job you HATE.

So seriously

A 3-Step Strategy for Getting 7-8 Hours of Deep, Quality, Uninterrupted Sleep Per Night…

Step 1: Think about What you Eat Before bed

>> Try not to eat a huge, heavy meal just before you go to bed

>> Try to finish eating 3-4 hours before you try to sleep. This will make indigestion/heartburn/acid reflux and so on, much less likely. Helping you sleep better

Step 2: Develop a Pre-Bed Routine

>> For me this means: turning off the television/laptop/mobile phone, at least 1 hour before bed, taking a warm shower, cleaning my teeth and so on

>> This needn’t be complicated, but it’s something I do each night – in addition to trying to go to bed at roughly the same time each night – that really helps me fall asleep easily, and stay asleep, uninterrupted, for approximately 8 hours

Step 3: Get your Bedroom Right!

>> Turn off all electrical devices in your bedroom – including your Phones, Lights etc

>> Get the best quality mattress, pillow and bedding you can afford

>> Make your bedroom pitch black and cool
