If You Constantly Feel Like “There’s Never Enough Time” – Here Are Some Secrets to Increasing Productivity and Getting More Done…
By Elliot Newman
One of the biggest problems many hard-working people face, is that they feel like “they’re overworked and underpaid”. They feel like there’s never enough hours in the day.
These feelings cause STRESS and ANXIETY.
I’ve been there. I certainly know how it feels to constantly be rushing to get stuff done. To constantly write a ‘to do’ list at the start of the day, and never quite get everything on the list done.
However, over the years I’ve figured out many ways to INCREASE my productivity – allowing me to grow a successful business, spend plenty of quality time with my family, and still have time to enjoy my other interests (including golf, and strength training).
So, if you’d like to learn 3 PROVEN ways to ‘get more done in less time’ – improving both your productivity and your quality of life – read on carefully…
Productivity Hack #1: Develop a Healthy ‘Morning Routine’

I’ve studied the habits of many successful people. And, one thing I’ve found most of them have in common is a ‘Morning Routine’.
This Morning Routine sets the tone for the day – leading to the most Productive and Successful day possible.
Now. The truth is – everyone’s Morning Routine varies. But, I’ll show you what I do in mine, and you can give it a try if you like (or, at least parts of it)…
After going to the bathroom, washing my face and hands, and cleaning my teeth, here’s what I do:
1. Drink 500ml of glass bottle spring water, with 10 drops of Dr Patrick Flanagan’s Crystal Energy added. This gets me Hydrated. If you want optimal Health, Performance and Productivity – you HAVE TO be hydrated (and that means drinking WATER)
2. I do some Buteyko Breathing. This has a ton of Health and Performance benefits – including increasing your energy levels (and, of course – having more energy can dramatically improve your productivity).
3. I do 5-10 minutes of Original Strength. This is an amazing movement system that improves posture and builds balance, coordination, physical resilience, cognitive function and more.
In between doing those 3 things, I’ll also usually do 5 minutes of Oil Pulling – using with Coconut Oil. This doesn’t directly make me more productive – but since Oral Health is a key indicator of Overall Health (and Health is a prerequisite for long-term productivity), it’s still a vital part of my Morning Routine.
Finally, I’ll eat a healthy breakfast.
After all that, I’m set for a good day. A productive day!
Now. I know what you might be thinking…
“That seems like a lot to do before work”
“How am I supposed to do all that and get the kids ready”?
Yeah, yeah, yeah…
I get it.
But, guess what?
I do that in between getting my 3 and 5 year old ready for school. So, if you really want to improve your Productivity, you’ll find a way to develop a Health Morning Routine.
Productivity Hack #2: Do What’s Most Important First Thing in The Day

Once I start work, I do what’s most important, FIRST THING in the day.
For me, this means doing things like writing blog posts, making videos, working on new products and so on. Stuff that requires the most ‘mental juice’.
I save less taxing jobs – like answering emails – for later in the day.
By doing the most important things first in the day, you have a great day, even if your afternoon goes to crap! And, that happens to us all.
In contrast, if you spend the morning doing your least valuable tasks, and then your afternoon goes to crap for whatever – you NEVER get the valuable stuff done! It’s essentially a WASTED day.
So, remember this Productivity Hack:
Your most important stuff should get done FIRST THING in the day!
Productivity Hack #3: Find Balance in Your Life

When I first started my online businesses – writing about Strength Training, and Sex and Relationships – I worked my fair share of 14 and 16 hour days.
Yup, those first 2 years or so were TOUGH.
I was pushing myself so hard, and learning so many new skills… yet I could have probably earned more money stacking shelves in a supermarket!
However, even during those first couple years, I still maintained some balance in my life…
I still went to the gym most days, I still saw my friends at the weekend, I still went on dates when I could find the time.
And, what about these days?
Well, these days I live a very balanced life. Sure, I work HARD. But, I also work SMART.
I don’t try to do everything myself – for instance: I pay other people to do things that I’m not good at. One example would be designing web pages – I’m great with WORDS, but lousy with IMAGES. So I pay my designer to do what I’m NOT good at (designing). Freeing up my time to do what I ENJOY and EXCEL at.
I also rarely work 14 or 16 hour days these days. Sure, it may happen a couple times a year. But, not often.
Instead, I usually work 5-10 hours a day. Leaving me plenty of time to spend with my kids, fiancee, on the golf course, and in the gym.
Without this balance, BURNOUT will occur sooner or later. You can only push yourself so hard. Look at Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple – highly successful guy, but how long did he last? How about the guy who ran Ferrari until 2018? Dead in his 60’s.
I can’t say for sure that working too hard helped to prematurely end Steve Jobs, or the former Ferrari Boss Sergio Marchionne – but, I’m willing to be it played a part.
Keep the following in mind:
There’s no point being the richest guy, but being really unhealthy. Or, having a body like a Greek God, but being dead broke.
You get my point, right?
To be super productive IN THE LONG-RUN, you have to find a balance between ‘work and play’ in your life. And, always remember – your HEALTH should come first. Because, if that goes – you won’t be productive at all.
